Pianist Next In Concert Series
WASHINGTON â On Sunday, February 22, at 4 pm, the Saint Johnâs Concert Series will present Connecticut organist Frederick Teardo playing works of Charles Villiers Stanford, Herbert Howells, Johann Sebastian Bach, Calvin Hampton, and Maurice Durufle.

Mr Teardo is pursuing a master of music degree in organ performance jointly at Yale School of Music and Yale Institute of Sacred Music. At Yale, he studies organ with Thomas Murray and improvisation with William Porter.
Mr Teardo received his Bachelor of Music degree with highest honors from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., where he studied organ with David Higgs. A member of the Waterbury chapter of the American Guild of Organists, he studied locally with Stephen Roberts, Britt Wheeler, and Tony Caramia.
The 2003-04 series will conclude on May 16 with a return performance by Manhattan String Quartet, joined by the pianist Robert DeGaetano, performing Johannes Brahmsâ Piano Quintet in F minor.
