Mr And Mrs Gregory A. Blomstrand

Cara Elizabeth Williams and Gregory Alan Blomstrand were married May 13 at the Newtown Congregational Church with the Rev Steven Gordon officiating.

A reception at the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Gordon Michael Williams of Newtown.

The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Curt Blomstrand of Lafayette, Calif.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white georgette full-length gown with a short train and a bodice of appliqued lace with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of spring garden flowers.

Maid of honor was Emily Williams, sister of the bride, of Alameda, Calif.

The bridesmaids were Jill Freeman, sister of the groom, Heather Laychak, Kellie Brown, Lauren Marcus, Linda De La Torre, Jackie Guglielmo, and Lisa Wood.

Best man was Jeffrey Blomstrand, brother of the groom, of Sonoma, Calif.

Groomsmen were Christopher Williams, brother of the bride, Charles Rosson, David Anderson, Daniel Freeman, Rand Roglien, Matthew Carroll, Steven Clark, James Zowrek, and Alex Martinez.

Other attendants were children of the bridal couple’s cousins: flower girls, Addison Mercer and Jordon Dean; bell ringers, Gabriel Mercer and Garrett Mercer; and ring bearer, Dean Mercer. Soloist was Megan La Cava.

The bride graduated from Newtown High School and Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn. She is employed by Meridian Sports Clubs as manager in Century City, Los Angeles.

Mr Blomstrand, a graduate of Campolindo High School in Moraga, Calif., and of UCLA, is an asset manager for American Realty Advisors in Glendale, Calif.

After a wedding trip to Kauai and Maui in Hawaii, the couple now resides in Redondo Beach, Calif.
