Anna Dolny Charney

Retired Seamstress

Anna Dolny Charney, 85, of Monroe, died February 12 at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mrs Charney was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident. She was the widow of John Charney.

Survivors include one sister, Esther Grosner of Newtown; one brother, Edward Dolny of Stratford; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Babe.

Mrs Charney was a retired seamstress.

Funeral services were held February 19 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Trumbull, with the Rev Linda Kraft, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull CT 06611.

The Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport was in care of arrangements.
