Newtown Dancers To Perform At Irish Evening
The Gray School of Irish Dance of Newtown will present âAn Emerald Ballâ at the Amber Room Colonnade on Stacy Road in Danbury Saturday, March 17, at 7 pm. All proceeds from the evening will go toward scholarships for local students who train and compete in Irish dance. This gala evening will begin with cocktails and hors dâoeuvres followed by a three-course buffet dinner including corned beef and other selections.

The highlight of the evening will be a performance of solo and ceili dancing by the Gray School Champion Dancers, featuring New England and North American champions, and All-Ireland and All-World medalists. More than 50 Newtown dancers will participate.
Tickets are $65 per person, dress is semiformal. Tables of ten are available. For an invitation, call the Gray School at 270-7001. Contributions only can be made to Dancerâs Travel Fund and mailed to Gray School of Irish Dance, 3 Simm Lane, Newtown CT 06470.
