SCULPTOR’S TALK AT WALTERS MARCH 25

AVV/GS SET 2-8 #687756

BALTIMORE, MD. — The Walters Art Museum will present a lecture, “Creating Beyond Captivity: A 21st Century Sculptor’s Perspective,” on Sunday, March 25, at 2 pm in the Graham Auditorium.

Discover the vitality and diversity of the animal kingdom through the works of Maryland sculptor Bart Walter, whose works are in museums and private collections worldwide.

Walter will share his experiences as a contemporary animalier and adventurer, contrasting his methods with those of the Nineteenth Century masters like Antoine-Louis Barye, whose subjects were primarily domesticated or captive. Walter works in places such as African jungles and plains and North American wetlands and mountains.

Members are free; nonmembers, $10 and students, $5. The museum is at 600 North Charles Street. For information, www.thewalters.org or 410-547-9000.
