Mr And Mrs Christopher DeSantis

Elizabeth Anne Heetmann and Christopher DeSantis were united in marriage on October 7 at St Rose Church in Newtown. The Rev Robert Weiss officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Peg Heetmann of Sandy Hook. The bridegroom is the son of Daniel and Eileen DeSantis of Lewisburg, Penn.

Jennifer Knittel of Oxford, N.J., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine LaPorte of Los Angeles, Calif., and Danielle Deppen of Trevorton, Penn. Anna Heetmann of West Hartford, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best men were Jonathan DeSantis of Lewisburg, Penn., brother of the bridegroom, and George Kloph of State College, Penn. Usher was James Heetmann of West Hartford, brother of the bride.

The bride graduated from Newtown High School in 1995 and Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Penn., in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in music therapy. She is a music therapist at LifeCare Hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn.

The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Lewisburg Area High School and a 1999 graduate of Elizabethtown College with a bachelor of arts degree in English and professional writing. He is a project administrator in the human resources department at the University of Pittsburgh.

The reception was held at The Heritage in Southbury. After a wedding cruise to Bermuda, the couple is residing in Pittsburgh.
