*Itâs back enough that my mom has been counting the days until spring since the first day of winter (my favorite season, so you can see how well we get along when the topic is weather). Now I have the first listings of the year for The Meadows Music Theater in Hartford, which means itâs already time to think about summer and outdoor concerts.
FLEETWOOD MAC returns to Connecticut on Tuesday, June 8, and OZZFEST 2004 will be rolling into Hartford on Saturday, July 10. Tickets for both of these shows are going on sale Saturday morning at 10 am through the Oakdale box office and tickets.com outlets. The box office is at The Meadows is not yet open for the season. The doors over there are probably still under snow and ice.
The tickets for Fleetwood Mac start at $25 for the lawn area, and then jump to $75, $95 and $150 for pavilion seats.
For OzzFest 2004, the lawn seats are $48.25 for the lawn and then $68.25 and $88.25 for pavilion. Make note the highest price level for OzzFest â which in Hartford has OZZY, JUDAS PRIEST, SLAYER, SLIPKNOT, DIMMU BORGIR, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, ZAKK WILDEâS BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, HATEBREED, LAMB OF GOD, ATREYU and BLEEDING THROUGH already confirmed â also allows the option of having tickets for a general admission mosh pit. In youâre interested in that make sure you ask for it when youâre buying your tickets.
Wristband distribution for both shows will be at 8:30 Saturday morning, and the lottery for line placement will occur around 9:30. The Oakdale box office can be reached at 203-265-1501, and tickets.comâs charge line is 888-332-5600.
*Also on sale Saturday will be tickets for THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE, which rolls into Bridgeportâs Arena at Harbor Yard on Thursday, April 1. Whether this is the same show playing at the Oakdale this spring is not clear to me.
Tickets are set at $25 and $35 and will be going on sale at 10. Tickets are limited to eight per person, and wristbands will be distributed at the arena beginning at 7 on Saturday.
For those who donât want to wait in line at the arena, ticket sales will also be done through all TicketMaster outlets.
Until next week Iâll be seeing you⦠on the road.
