Letter Of Endorsement
To the Editor:
I am writing to support the candidacy of Senator John Kerry as the Democratic nominee for president in the March 2 Connecticut primary.
On the issues, Senator Kerry has demonstrated through his voting record and positions on jobs, the economy, health care, education, and the environment that he is the candidate most qualified to make an agenda focused on working families a priority in Washington.
Senator Kerry also has the most impressive experience of any of the candidates for President. From his military service, to his time as a prosecutor, to lieutenant governor, to his 18 years in the United States Senate, John Kerry has the credentials required to make the critical decisions effecting foreign policy and national security and lead an economic recovery which returns the three million jobs lost under the current administration.
Most importantly, Senator Kerry is the candidate who is most electable in November. Once we get to the general election, the attacks will come from the opposition. John Kerry has proven himself to be a fighter who can withstand a tough campaign. Like no other candidate, Senator Kerryâs military and foreign policy experience leaves the Republican ticket unable to exploit national security fears as a Democratic weakness. Instead the debate will turn to the dismal record of the current administration on jobs, the economy, the environment, health care, and education, where President Bush is most vulnerable.
I urge all Democrats to come out and vote on March 2 and send a message that Connecticut supports Senator John Kerry for President.
