Weir Farm Winter Hours Extended
WILTON â The National Park Service has extended the winter schedule for visitor center hours and tours available at Weir Farm National Historic Site.
Through Friday, April 30, the visitor center will be open Thursday through Sunday from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
Guided tours of the artistsâ studios are at 11 am and 1 pm on days the visitor center is open. The grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting.
The entrance to Weir Farm National Historic Site Visitor Center is at 735 Nod Hill Road in Wilton.
Weir Farm preserves the summer home and workplace of Julian Alden Weir (1852-1919), a leading figure in American art and the development of American Impressionism.
For over 100 years, the 18th Century farm has been used continuously by artists and remains a haven for contemporary artists.
