What is the most overreported story you have been hearing in the news lately? Is there a story that you think is being underreported?

Carol Smith: “The most overreported story right now is how the media has been tracking Dean’s every move. I would like to know more about the situation with Gov Rowland. There was so much about his situation in the beginning. Now I hear nothing!”

Cy Dennerlein: “I don’t think the media asks the right questions of our politicians. A politician will say one thing to get into office and then changes his agenda once he’s in there!”

Jae Douglas: “The Janet Jackson fiasco was really overdone. I was getting sick of hearing about it all the time.”

Dorothy McCarty: “I’d like to know more about Bush going AWOL [in his National Guard duty during Vietnam].”

Darlene Spencer: “I think the Dean [“I Have a Scream” Speech] was really overplayed. The [media] should focus more on covering the [candidate’s] stances on the issues.”

Peg Watson: “I think there has been too much coverage of the [race for the Democratic nomination]. My husband, who is British, says the process is much quicker in England. In America the process is started too early and goes on too late. Dean was the frontrunner in the very beginning and now he just conceded. A lot of [campaign] money is wasted, too.”
