Angelo (Chick) Cerreta

Angelo (Chick) Cerreta, 77, of North Salem, N.Y., died February 28 at Danbury Hospital.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Chick) and Nancy Cerreta of Sandy Hook.

Mr Cerreta was born February 7, 1924, in New Rochelle, N.Y., son of the late Gaetano and Frances Cerreta. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Mary (Acocella) Cerreta.

A carpenter by trade until his retirement, Mr Cerreta was a member of the Suburban New York Regional Council of Carpenters Union. He served in the Aleutian Islands as a Navy seaman during World War II. An avid sportsman, Mr Cerreta was a long standing, active member of the North Salem Fish and Game Association.

Mr Cerreta also is survived by a daughter, Marianne Wallick of Waterbury; a sister, Vincenza Liberto of New Rochelle, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A private memorial is to be held at a later date.
