Three Charged With Alcohol Violations at Party
Police said they responded to a report of a loud party at the Rancourt residence at 36 Bennetts Bridge Road in Sandy Hook about 11 pm February 20, where they encountered a group of about 30 youths gathered in a shed, some of whom were drinking alcohol.
Police said they found Carey S. Olsen, 19, of 1 Lovellâs Lane to be in possession of alcohol. Olsen did not cooperate with police, according to police.
Police charged Olsen with possession of alcohol by a minor and with interfering with police. Olsen is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.
Additionally, police said they issued both Janice Rancourt, 51, and her son, Jordan Rancourt, 19, infractions on a charge of allowing a minor to possess alcohol.
Police said they called the many youthsâ parents and guardians to have them retrieved from the party.Â
