Due to schools being closed because of weather concerns with wind and a changeover from rain to snow on Friday, March 2, the South-West Conference championship boys' swimming events have been postponed until Saturday, March 3.

The competition will take place at Masuk High School in Monroe, as originally planned. The start time is 1 pm.

Newtown went 7-2 during the regular season to place third in the standings behind unbeaten Pomperaug of Southbury and 8-1 Weston.

The Nighthawks have had several school and pool records, and will look to continue their successful campaign as the postseason gets underway.
