He Qi Exhibition At Yale

NEW HAVEN — “Look Toward the Heavens: The Art of He Qi” will be on display from March 6 through April 26 at Yale Institute of Sacred Music, 409 Prospect Street.

He Qi, one of China’s most sought-after contemporary Christian artists, is the 2005-06 Paul T. Lauby artist-in-residence at Overseas Ministries Study Center (OMSC) in New Haven. Dr Qi is a professor at Nanjing Union Theological seminary. His art has been featured on BBC and HK Cable-TV, and in Asian Week, Christianity Today, and other publications.

A reception will be held to honor the artist and the exhibition on Thursday, March 23, from 4:30 to 6 pm, at the institute. Free parking is available.

The exhibition, presented in partnership with OMSC with support from Yale Divinity School, is open weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm. Both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
