Occupation: I work for the Monroe Police Department in the communications unit as a dispatcher.

Family: My immediate family is my mom, Linda Connor; dad, Roger Connor, Sr; sister, Eileen Connor; sister, Sarah Connor De Jesus; brother-in-law, Brian De Jesus; and nephew, Anthony. I also have multiple other relatives that live in town.

Pets: None right now, but I am looking to adopt a pet soon. I am an animal lover. I had a dachshund named Lucy, who I got in NYC, that I gave to my father as they became best friends.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I have always called Newtown my home. I was away a couple times. Once when I was in the Navy for a few years, then again for school. I also lived in NYC for a time. In 2019 I bought my first home in Sandy Hook.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time I like to be outside, read, watch a good movie or TV show, travel. I like to stay active during my free time.

What is your favorite book? I honestly love to read from all types of genres, from historical to fiction to sci-fi, so it’s hard to pinpoint a favorite.

What is your favorite travel destination? I’ve been to places all around the world, but I have to say Key West is great place to get away and relax. I love to travel and hope to get back at it very soon.

What is the best part about Newtown? One of the best parts of Newtown is the community of all those who call it home. Newtown has so much to offer and truly is a great place to live.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I am currently an active EMT with Newtown Volunteer Ambulance and have been for the past 18½ years, and I just recently was appointed a commissioner on the Cultural Arts Commission.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? Some of the greatest influences in my life have been my family and friends. They give me strength when I need it or a shoulder to cry on in times of need. Friends and family are the some of the best parts of life.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? If I could spend the day with one person, I would like to spend the day with President Teddy Roosevelt. I would very much like to hear his story about the National Park System and being a Rough Rider. To me, President T. Roosevelt was a great leader and inspiration to many.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I just love all music; music is wonderful and can be moving and powerful or just nice and relaxing.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? The greatest piece of advice I have heard is, “Treat others as you want to be treated.”

What is something you cannot live without? I cannot live without family and friends. As stated before, friends and family make up a big part of my life and who I am. That, and maybe chicken tenders.

What is your proudest accomplishment? I have a couple: serving in the Navy, receiving my master’s degree, and being a loyal friend, son, brother, and person.
