The following area residents enrolled at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va., were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester: Alexandra S. Caracciolo, John J. Quinn, Ethan S. Reed, Andrew R. Shugarts, and Jennifer L. Brill of Sandy Hook. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A through F scale and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.

Christine D’Alessandro was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. Students who achieve Dean’s List honors at the university represent the top 30 percent of students in their college.

Ashley Ann Davis, daughter of Gary and Sherri Davis of Sandy Hook, was named to the fall semester’s Dean’s list at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Penn. All students earning a position on the dean’s list at the college must have a grade point average of 3.7 or above on a 4.0 GPA scale for the semester.

John Nelson was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester in Villanova University’s College of Engineering. Villanova, Penn. To qualify in the engineering school, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of 3.25. Also at Villanova, Paige Woodhouse was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester in the Villanova School of Business. Woodhouse is a freshman. To qualify in the business school, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of 3.5, with no missing or nonpassing grades. Mary George and Kyle Hufziger of Sandy Hook were named to the Dean’s List in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Villanova. A students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 to earn Dean’s List placement.

Evan Victor Gregoire, son of Frederica and Mark Gregoire of Sandy Hook and a senior international business and management major, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn. All students earning a position on the Dean’s List, a recognition of academic excellence, must have a grade point average of 3.7 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Katherine Condon of Sandy Hook was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Elms College in Chicopee, Mass. To qualify, a student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better for the semester and complete at least 12 credits.

In Bristol, R.I., area residents were named to the fall semester’s Dean’s List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester, provided that they have not received any of the following grades: F, I, NP or NS. Newtown residents named on the Dean’s List were Samantha Ciaccia, Nicole Haylon, and Shannon Seaman. Sandy Hook residents named to the Dean’s List were Alyssa Buda, Rachel Fatse, and Amanda Norling.

At Berklee College of Music, Boston, Newtown resident Zachary Gordon was named on the Dean’s List for the fall semester. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
