Why Black Lives Matter

To the Editor:

Black lives never had mattered in America.

Black lives didn’t matter when our Founding Fathers created this nation. They definitely didn’t matter in the last century when the white race would lynch Blacks and treat it as if it were entertainment. And they didn’t matter at the beginning of this century either.

Why do Black lives matter now?

They matter now only because the great majority of the dominant white race finally believe Black Lives Matter!

Of course all lives matter — but racist political groups are using the Black motto to insinuate that the Black race believes only their race matters.

America has come a long way to overcome racism in this country and will overcome this new form of hidden racism!
