Jody Rajcula scored 30 points and dragged down 10 rebounds to lead Denmo’s to a 51-46 victory over Walsh Logging in The Gym At Newtown Women’s Basketball League action.

Kim Lowell added eight points and five rebounds while Stephanie Trolle chipped in with six points and four rebounds. Holly Ferguson and Laura Cook combined for seven points, six rebounds, and six steals. For Walsh, Ruth Rowe canned 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Megan LaCava had 14 points and 12 boards while Tracy Palella added 11 points. Joanne Duncanson chipped in with three points and six rebounds.

Imagine This defeated Newtown Mobil, 63-58, in overtime as Shelby Neveriski scored 25 points. Kelly Fegler scored 22 points while Suzanne Marsan added 14 more. Lynn Lattanzio led Newtown Mobil with 21 points and 14 rebounds and 2 blocks. Amy Proulx – who had a trio of three pointers, including one that send the game into overtime – scored 13 points. Sandy Doski and Karen Katrinak combined for 16 points and 13 rebounds.

In the final game of the night, The Gym at Newtown fell to Colorgaphix, 54-53, in its quest for its first win of the year. The Gym had the lead with 43 seconds left, but Maura Keenan of Colorgraphix hit six consecutive shots and finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds to seal the win. Michelle Smith added 13 points as Karen Powell chipped in seven points and six rebounds. For The Gym, Carolyn Signorelli canned 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Mel Darrah and Janet Duffey each had 13 points and combined for seven rebounds. Joan Plavnicky and Carolyn Schrieber combined for nine points and 12 rebounds.

Imagine This defeated The Gym at Newtown 68-66. Neveriski poured in 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Imagine. Fegler added 21 points and 19 rebounds while Marsan chipped in with 16 points. For The Gym, Signorelli led the charge with 22 points and nine rebounds. Sharon McCarthy popped in 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Darrah added 14 points as Plavnicky had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Keenan scored 27 points as Colorgraphix defeated Walsh Logging 62-56. Powell added 12 points and 10 rebounds as Denise Passano chipped in 10 points and Michelle Smith added seven points and eight rebounds. Duncanson led Walsh with 17 points while Rowe added 16 points and 12 rebounds. Palella chipped in 13 points and Heidi Gliessner drained a pair of three pointers.

Newtown Mobil defeated Denmo’s 54-43 as Proulx, Katrinak, Lattanzio and Doski combined for 48 points. Rajcula led Denmo’s with 23 points while Vicki Davis had an excellent game with 14 points.
