Acacio J. Borges

Acacio J. “Casey” Borges, 62, of Milville, Del., formerly of Norwalk and Waxhaw, N.C., died March 4 in the Hospital of St Raphael in New Haven.

 He was the father of Leslie Jane Troy of Sandy Hook.

Born in Norwalk on December 12, 1937, the son of the late Joseph and Ledwina (Carvalho) Borges, he had been a Norwalk resident for 48 years before moving to North Carolina and Delaware. Until his retirement, he had been a salesman at Wilton Motors in Wilton. He was a US Air Force veteran, a member of the Striped Bass Club of Norwalk, the Ferris Hill Club, and the East Norwalk Yacht Club.

He is also survived by his wife, Jane (Willmott) Borges of Milville; a son, Jeffrey Allan Borges of the Huntington section of Shelton; another daughter, Nadine Lynn Snyder of Ansonia; two brothers, Armand Borges of Wilton and Thomas Borges of Bethel; two sisters, Lenore Montanye of Waterbury and Dolores Manca of Danbury; and five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 7 in St Matthew Church, Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Interment was in St John Cemetery, Norwalk.

The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, was in charge of arrangements.
