A Global Warming Update

BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Historical Society will sponsor a lecture titled “Global Warming Update: What the News Media and Your Government Won’t Tell You” on Sunday, March 15.

The program will begin at 2 pm and will take place at Brookfield Public Library, 182 Whisconier Road (Route 25).

Art Horn, a Connecticut native and resident currently living in Manchester, will be the presenter. He contends the news media and government do not present a balanced view and will offer scientific evidence that points to decades of global cooling.

His presentation will explore the reasons why certain government agencies have ignored scientific facts to promote their agenda. In addition, Mr Horn will put forth an alternative to Al Gore’s highly touted film An Inconvenient Truth.

Mr Horn, a meteorologist and TV weather reporter, has worked for both CBS and NBC. During his career he has produced and hosted a number of educational and entertaining weather programs for TV, including the Emmy-nominated documentary Hurricane: Direct Hit for Connecticut Public Television.

Admission to the presentation is free and complimentary refreshments will be served.
