The March meeting of Newtown Genealogy Club will be at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, on Wednesday, March 12, at 7 pm.

The speaker this month will be club member Harlan Jessup, who will call his talk “Getting There is Half the Fun.” He will speak about genealogy libraries in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley. Mr Jessup will focus not just on the state libraries, but on other resources and libraries as well.

The meeting will start at 7, but the Help Desk will be open at 6:30 for those with problems in their own family research.

All are welcome to attend the meeting or visit the Help Desk.

With the library scheduled to reopen on March 8 following water damage and repairs, Mr Jessup will once again be available to meet with residents weekly. He sets up in the Genealogy Room, located on the main floor of the library, on Monday afternoons from 2 until 4 pm for individual help. The library’s dedicated genealogy computer will also be available as well.

For additional information about the club and its programs contact Bea Morgan at 203-304-1861.
