Kidologie Already Getting Ready For Summer; Second Annual Event March 16 At Reed School

It’s not too early to start planning your child’s summer activities. Families who attend “Kidologie” Gets Ready for Summer Children’s Fair can have fun with free live entertainment, activities, and giveaways, while learning about resources for things to do when the last bell of the school year rings.

The 2nd Annual Event is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, at Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane, from 11 am to 3 pm.

 “We are extremely pleased with how this year’s annual event is coming together,” said Lisa Agresta, partner of Connectologie LLC, the creators of Kidologie and other events in Connecticut. “Some of the participating exhibitors to be at the event include The Maritime Aquarium of Norwalk and their Intertidal Touch Tank, Curious Creatures from Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, The Bijou Theatre, New England Ballet Company, Hudson Country Montessori School, Honda of Danbury, Fraser Woods Montessori School, Dental Associates, Woodloch Pines Resort, CHET Financial, Auerbach Pediatrics, Eagle Rock Camp, YMCA, Yogibo, Two Coyotes Wilderness School, Steve DeMasco’s Kung Fu, Dance Etc, St. Rose School, John Casablancas Modeling, EverWonder Children’s Museum, Creative Music, NYA Sports & Fitness, Commerce Park Dental, Danbury Ice, author of The Sugar Plum Tree, author of The Loogie the Booger Genie series, and 40 other exhibitors and vendors.”

The signature Kidologie event will also feature many free giveaways throughout the day for attendees to win. Giveaways include a children’s birthday party at The Bijou Theatre valued at $400; family passes to Quassy Amusement Park, The Beardsley Zoo and The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk; a mini summer camp week at The Creativity Planet valued at $150; tickets to see a performance of Little Red Riding Hood presented by The New England Ballet Company; a family portrait session by Landau Photographers valued at $100; gift baskets and much more.

The Grand Prize Giveaway will once again be the “Golden Ticket,” an all-inclusive family getaway to Woodloch Pines Resort. The giveaway is valued at up to $3,000.  The “Golden Ticket” will be hidden inside one of the first 200 goodie bags handed out at the door to families upon arrival to the event.

This Poconos resort, nestled in a pristine mountain lake setting, is regarded as one of America’s “Best All-Inclusive Family Resorts.” The resort provides a four-season, fun-filled, lakeside escape for the entire family, with activities and entertainment for all ages.

Kidologie will also feature free live entertainment by Jester Jim; Pete and Chris Amusements, New England’s only two man magic show; The Gray School of Irish Dancing; World Wildlife presented by Animal Embassy; Peter and the Wolf presented by The New England Ballet Company; magic by Bryan Lizotte; Fun With Science presented by EverWonder Children’s Museum; free arcade games by Monster Mobile Arcade, free iPad art classes; face painting, balloon twisting; a roaming train and raceway track; fun with robotics, and much more.

A portion of proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the EverWonder Children’s Museum, a proposed destination curriculum-based science and art museum to be located in Newtown and serving surrounding communities. Families are invited to visit the museum’s temporary EverWonder Experience at 31 Pecks Lane in Newtown.
