St Patrick’s Meal Of Grace

To the Editor:

 On behalf of the Knights of Columbus, Virgilius Council #185, we would like to acknowledge the generous support for our St. Patrick’s Meal of Grace to be held on Saturday March 15. The Salvation Army has offered to assist us in the purchase of food at Costco and the Congregation Adath Israel, under Rabbi Praver, has donated food, related cooking items, and 12 volunteers to assist in meal preparation and distribution.

 Currently, we have requests for over 900 meals to be served/delivered to people in Bridgeport, Shelton, Danbury, and Newtown. All are welcome to join us for this meal at St Rose Parish Hall at 11:30 AM. Rides to the hall are available or people can call for delivery to their home (426-8064 or 426-0098).

 Anyone wishing to contribute can send a donation to “At Our Gate” c/o Mark Dennen, 6 Old Green Road, Sandy Hook CT 06482. Food donations are also welcome, but please call Frank Middleton (426-0098) to confirm the immediate needs and the drop-off point.
