AAUW Author’s Luncheon

TRUMBULL — Mary-Ann Tirone Smith will be the featured author at the Annual Author’s Luncheon of the American Association of University Women- Bridgeport Area Branch on April 12 at noon. Trumbull Library is co-sponsoring this event, which will be held in the library’s Community Room.

A complimentary light lunch will be served and the public is invited. There is no fee, but reservations are requested; call the Trumbull Library at 452-5197. Books by the author will be available for purchase.

Mary-Ann Tirone Smith, a native of Connecticut, has had eight novels published, including three in the Poppy Rice Mysteries Series. In addition to fiction and essays, she has written numerous book reviews for The New York Times, The Hartford Courant and The Boston Globe. Her most recent work is Girls Of A Tender Age: A Memoir and is about growing up in the Hartford area. Ms Tirone Smith’s other books include She Smiled Sweetly, The Book Of Phoebe, and Masters Of Illusion; A Novel Of The Connecticut Fire.
