*Tickets for a historic sixth show by BILLY JOEL have been put on sale for a just-added performance on Sunday, June 15, at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Five shows that went on sale last month each sold out quickly (the first, for Friday, May 23, sold out in five minutes; the second, on Sunday, May 25, then sold out in 13 minutes; and then, according to the folks at Mohegan Sun, and third and fourth show were also put on sale and sold out just as quickly.

Last weekend it was the fifth show, to take place on Friday, June 13, that went up for grabs on Saturday, March 1, priced from $49.50 to $98.50, and sold out on six minutes.

The June shows will be record-breakers for Joel and Connecticut venues. The current record is a five-show run at Hartford Civic  Center back in 2005.

Later this week, Mohegan Sun added another –  a seventh show – to its arena in Uncasville. Joel now has a show for Thursday, June 26, which establishes a new record for the most indoor consecutive sold out shows in Connecticut.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
