Donna Hartson Fox, 88, of North Branford, loving wife of Frederick W. Fox, died March 4 at Evergreen Woods Healthcare Center. She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Gladys (Gullikson) and Irving Hartson. She was a longtime Fairfield resident.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology. Mrs Fox then worked in banking. After moving to Fairfield in 1964, she attended Fairfield University, where she earned a master's degree and a certificate of advanced study in school psychology. She was then employed by the Newtown Board of Education for 20 years as a school psychologist.

Mrs Fox enjoyed foreign travel and this interest led her and her husband to pursue varied travel experiences together. She was an active member of the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church where she served as a deaconess, as well as on various committees.

In addition to her husband, her two loving children, Kathy McMahon, and her husband Ted, of Madison, Conn., and Craig Fox of Bend, Ore.; her two grandchildren and their spouses, Ted and Alex McMahon and Caitlin and Mike Hulit; and a sister-in-law, Katie Hartson, survive her. Her brother William Hartson predeceased her.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, March 20, at 10 am, at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs Fox's memory to the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church at the address above.
