Richard Howell, 73, longtime resident of Sandy Hook and New Rochelle, N.Y, died peacefully March 7, after a long illness. He was born in New York on March 28, 1943, to the late Anna (Windrum) and Richard Howell.

Mr Howell worked many years at IBM before retiring. He loved boating and being on the water.

His wife, Louise; their sons Jason and Connor, and from a previous marriage his sons Shane, Paul, and Mitchell; his sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Bill French and Iris and Bill Studwell; and nieces and nephews survive him.

Friends may call this Friday, March 10, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, from 5 to 8 pm.
