What is your business background?

We’re a family-owned business concentrating on primarily residential services for 27 years. We started in Brookfield, moved to Southbury, and recently relocated to Newtown in a space that provides us enough room to stock the parts and equipment we need to provide the best service to our customers. Well pumps, water conditioning, and water filtration is basically all we do. Our forte is designing, building, and installing new filter and well installations.

What is your business’ focus?

We provide a water analysis for all customers, whether we do it on-site, or they bring a sample here to our office. Once we analyze the sample, we can tell the customer why they may be getting particular kinds of water stains or odors — or they’re developing leaks in their plumbing. By testing the water, we can isolate the issue and make the best recommendation for conditioning. Acid water is a low pH water, which we have around here, and it begins corroding plumbing from the inside out. We can usually retrofit those to the existing plumbing.

What is something important to you that readers know about your business?

The latest greatest thing in our business is variable speed constant pressure well pumps, which is what most new homes are looking for these days. As far as filtration goes, we’re different from most companies in that we don’t buy pre-packaged filtration systems, we build our own. We outsource the parts, but we build the units in-house, mostly on-site, because it provides an opportunity to customize the system to best serve our customers. That means a lot when it comes to water conditioning.

Do you have any upcoming promotions, events, or seasonal specials?

We aren’t the kind of business that runs traditional specials, but we do pride ourselves on our emergency response, and our water filtration and tank services. We don’t just sell and install — we go out of our way to be sure each customer gets the system service they need. That’s the most important part — if you put a filtration system in and don’t service it, you’re just wasting money. And we service most competitors’ equipment, too. Our motto is, “we get the water flowing again.” We also don’t recommend putting in water softening or filtration if you don’t need it. That’s why we come in testing the water — to let you know if you need water filtration. And we do tell our customers if they have a system, it should be serviced at least once a year.
