Marion Lichter, 86, of Fairfield died March 6 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Mrs Lichter was born in Bridgeport, daughter of Hyman and Sadie (Todtman) Eichenblat, and was the widow of Benjamin Lichter.
Mrs Lichter was the sister of Norman Stern of Newtown; beloved mother of Allan Lichter and his wife, Mary Lou Violetta Lichter, of Madison and Tobi Lichter Morris of Huntington; and grandmother of Jessica and Scott Morris and Eric and Jeremy Lichter. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Maurice and Arnold Eichenblat.
She was a member of Womenâs American ORT, Bânai Brith, and was a longtime volunteer at the Jewish Home in Fairfield.
Mrs Lichter was adored and cherished by her loving family. She had a life of total devotion to her dear husband, Ben, and children and grandchildren as a pillar of strength and wisdom. She leaves a legacy of motherly love that surrounds her family and she will live in their hearts forever.
Services took place March 8 from the Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, Fairfield, with interment following at Eintracht Cemetery. Shiva was observed at the home of Tobi Lichter Morris in Huntington.
