Cecelia Stockmal

Cecelia Stockmal, 75, of Shelton, died on March 10 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of Joseph C. Stockmal for 45 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Viktoria Stockmal, and her husband, John Peeling, of Newtown.

Mrs Stockmal was born in Niebylcz, Poland, on August 10, 1925, daughter of the late Peter and Helena (Machos) Leszczak, and was a Shelton resident since 1956, coming from Elizabeth, N.J.

She was also the mother of Julia S. Kovac and her husband, Ian, of Oxford; sister of Adam Leszczak and Sophie Daszkiewicz, both of Shelton, Katherine Dzindzio of Poland, and the late Paul and Steven Leszczak. Mrs Stockmal was the proud grandmother of Ian A. Kovac.

Her funeral left the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on March 14 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St Michael Church. Her burial was in St Michael Cemetery.
