NMS Preparing For 'Fiddler On The Roof Jr'

With Newtown Middle School's musical production of Fiddler on the Roof Jr showing April 1-3, students were already rehearsing scenes and songs on Thursday, March 3, under the guidance of technical director Andrew Tammero.Fiddler on the Roof Jr centers on the story of a father of five daughters of marriageable age, and his attempts to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions as outside influences encroach upon the family's lives.here.

Mr Tammero is working with artistic director Lesli Allen for the production.

Tickets for the production are $10 for adults and children. Tickets are available to purchase online off of the school's website,

The NMS Drama Club will also host a free presentation for seniors on Thursday, March 31, starting at 2:45 pm. Complimentary tea, coffee, finger foods, and dessert will be provided in the school's cafeteria before the special showing of the production. Local seniors thinking of attending the event should RSVP by calling Terri Greenfield at 203-426-7642.

Show times are Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, at 7 pm, and Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, at 2 pm.
