Realistic Flowers The Subject
Of Next SCAN Program
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will present a demonstration in watercolor by Patricia Billeci of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., on Wednesday, March 28, at 1:30 pm. Her subject will be flowers painted in her thoughtful realistic style.
The meeting is open to the pubic and will be at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown (at the flagpole). There is no admission charge.
Pat Billeci studied advertising art and design at State University of New York at Farmingdale and was employed in that field. She soon discovered that her real interest lay in fine art and moved into that field.
Her work now hangs in galleries and private collections in the US, Europe and the Far East. She was profiled in American Artist Magazine in 1994 and her work was selected for the cover of Splash â The Best of Contemporary Watercolor, a 1998 North Light Books release.
He work has earned numerous awards over the years including an award last year for her painting âYankee Doodle Dandyâ in the prestigious Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolor in Old Forge, N.Y., and a first in watercolor at Kent Art Associationâs fall show in Kent.
