Children’s Book Character Will Take The Stage At Fairfield University

FAIRFIELD — A feisty little boy makes a stand in Alexander Who’s Not, Not, Not, Not, Not Not Going To Move, which will be performed at Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on Sunday, March 19, at 1 and 3 pm.

Based on the popular book series by Judith Viorst, the play is part of the Washington, D.C.-based Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration on Tour. The show is suitable for children in grades 1 through 5.

In this story, Alexander faces one of the biggest challenges of his young life: His father is starting a new job in a city that is, as Alexander sees it, “a thousand miles away.” While everyone is packing, Alexander decides he is staying right where he is with his best friend, his tree house, his soccer team, and everything else that makes him feel at home.

Adapted by Ms Viorst and composer Shelly Markham, the program includes catchy songs and a message about change, opportunity, and the value of family.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children.

For tickets, call 203-254-4010 or 877-ARTS-396 (877-278-7396). For more information, visit www.QuickCenter.com.
