‘How To Succeed’ On Stage At NHS In April

Newtown High School will present How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, and book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, as its spring production.

The 1960s musical portrays the story of Finch, a young, ambitious window washer who climbs the corporate ladder with help from an instructional book – but has to rely on his own instincts in the end. How to Succeed captures corporate life and Finch’s growing love for a pretty young secretary in a variety of appealing songs including “The Company Way,” “A Secretary is Not a Toy,” “The Brotherhood of Man” and “I Believe in You.”

Performance dates and times for How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying are Thursday, April 6, at 7 pm; Friday, April 7, at 7:30 pm; and Saturday, April 8, at 2. and 7:30 pm.

Tickets are $8 to $15 for Thursday’s performance; Friday and Saturday ticket prices are $10 to $17.
