NHS Ecology Club To Hold
Pet Food Drive
The Newtown High School Ecology Club is holding a pet food drive from March 13 through April 13 to support the Canine Advocates and the Newtown animal shelter. The club would greatly appreciate donations of canned Wellness, IAMS, or Purina cat food, IAMS canned dog food, IAMS lamb and rice dry dog food, freeze dried liver treats and pigs ears.
The NHS Ecology Club is comprised of 15 students from varied high school classes that plan projects that are centered around animal and environmental welfare. This pet food drive is one of their current projects as a part of an Earth Day fundraiser.
The students are hopeful that the drive will bring in numerous donations so that the animals lives will be comfortable until such a time as they are adopted.
