Loved The Outdoors
Thomas A. Breuel, 60, of Danbury, beloved husband of Carol (Baxendale) Breuel, died March 9 after fighting a long battle with cancer. Mr Breuel was born in Manhattan, N.Y., January 7, 1946, son of Albert and Mildred Breuel.
Mr Breuel was the youngest of four siblings and is also survived by Dale OâBrien of Newtown, Albert Breuel, Jr, of Springfield, Va., and Maureen Bohning of Cos Cob; his son, Thomas Breuel, Jr, his wife, Tamara, and grandson, Jackson, of Brookfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He graduated high school in Greenwich and received his associateâs degree in mechanical engineering from Norwalk Community College. He worked as a licensed electrician for the past 15 years and belonged to IBEW Local 208, Norwalk.
Mr Breuelâs greatest joy was spending time with his family. He had a true love for the outdoors and was especially fond of fishing. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching a good game. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, and that all-engaging smile. He will be sincerely missed and remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service was held March 13 at the Green Funeral Home, Danbury.
