Education Roundtable

NEW MILFORD — A roundtable discussion, “A Closer Look at Our Schools,” will be held on Sunday, April 1, at Temple Sholom at 7 pm. The Rena Cohen Berner Memorial Fund is sponsoring the educational discussion.

The roundtable address questions like: Is there a caste system in our middle and high schools and should that concern us? What are we doing to address the needs of disaffected and at-risk youngsters? How have the problems faced by educators changed in recent decades?; How is technology changing the way our schools carry out their missions? and What is the State of Connecticut doing to encourage teacher accountability?

Panelists will include principals, assistant superintendents, professors, students, and professionals.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Temple Sholom is on Route 7, at 122 Kent Road in New Milford. For further information, contact the Temple office at 860-355-0273.
