Plant Science

NEW HAVEN — The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station will host a program, “Plant Science in the Spring,” on Tuesday, April 3, at 1 pm at the Donald F. Jones Auditorium, 123 Huntington Street.

Presentations on research will include “Deer Dining in Gardens,” by Dr Jeffrey S. Ward; “Butterflies in Connecticut,” by Michael Thomas; and “Medicinal Herbs and How They Grow” by Dr Martin P.N. Gent.

Greenhouse and laboratory visits will include insect trapping, grapes, hydroponic tomatoes, chestnuts, plant diagnosis, soil testing, insect identification, and vegetable transplants for the garden.
