The Best Fund-Raiser Ever
The Best Fund-Raiser Ever
To the Editor:
If you werenât there, you missed it. It was the best fundraiser of all time. It was held at the Fireside Inn on St. Patrickâs Day to benefit Newtown Youth Services. With about 500 people in attendance the Dinner/Auction/Dance had something for everyone.
Newtown Youth Services would like to thank all those who donated to the auction, all those who attended the event and all those who bid on the items. We also like to thank the Fireside Inn for all they did to accommodate us.
But, there are two people who need a special thank you for putting all this together. First is Claudia Coppersmith, who along with her helpers decorated the room and the tables, she also assisted with many other items including the auction and entertainment. Second is the fundraising chair himself, Bob Tendler. Bob, along with his staff, was the main driver behind this whole event. When Bob came up with this idea, it seemed like just a dream, but he made it happen. Bob, we at Newtown Youth Services are overwhelmed with your generosity and commitment and thank you for turning this into the best fundraiser of all time. Thanks again. Â
