Winners Announced

Peg Forbell won best in show for her crocheted bedspread at the Newtown Woman’s Club’s March 15 craft show held at Roberto’s restaurant.

First place winners are as follows:

Heritage Crafts: Paper cutting/scherenschnitte – Betty Warner, four angels with Christmas tree.

Jewelry: Costume jewelry, other – Peg Forbell, cross-stitch patchwork heart pin.

Ceramics: Special techniques, decorative – Norma Gray, wooden tray with tiled bottom.

Weaving: Off-Loom – Virginia Parsloe, fisherman afghan.

Decorative Painting: Early American, Reverse Painting on glass – Flo Caron, mirror; Country Painting – Marcia Cavanaugh, wooden plate; Theorem painting – Flo Caron, roses, pansies, lily; Fabric Painting – Norma Gray, pillow, painting on silk.

Creative Material: Recycled – Marion Thompson, vase; Other – Peg Forbell, quilled gift cards.
