Mary Agnes  Rovelli
Mary Agnes Rovelli, 85, formerly of 278 White Street, Danbury, died on March 22 at Hancock Hall after a long illness. She was the widow of Louis K. Rovelli, proprietor of Rovelli Monument Works from 1939 to 1977.
She was the mother of Daniel F. Rovelli, of Newtown.
Mrs Rovelli was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Wolkowitcz) Dratch. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., January 15, 1916, she moved to Danbury in 1925, attending local schools. She graduated from the Connecticut Institute of Hairdressing, Hartford, in 1934 and worked at Margaret Englishâs Beauty Shop until becoming a homemaker.
As an avid gardener, she specialized in hybird roses and African violets. She was a member of the former Beaver Brook Garden Club and belonged to the local AARP chapter.
Mrs Rovelli leaves two other children, Mary Lou Cummings of Hamden and David L. Rovelli of Middletown; four loving grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew. She was predeceased by a beloved son, Louis F. Rovelli, II, and by brothers, Stephen Dratch and Michael Dratch.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Joseph Church March 24. Burial followed in Wooster Cemetery.
