Spring Show Will Celebrate 30 Years For Art League

NEW MILFORD — Housatonic Art League will celebrate its 30th anniversary with the first exhibit of the year, its Spring Show, in the historic New Milford railroad station.

The exhibit will run from March 31 to April 8. A reception on Friday, March 30, from 7 pm to 9 pm, will celebrate the opening of the show as well as the league’s new season. The public is invited to meet the artists and talk with them about their work during the reception.

The exhibit, being a cooperative effort, will be manned by the exhibiting artists as well. The show will be open daily from noon to 4 pm. Admission is free.

Ribbon prizes will be awarded in seven categories: oil/acrylic, water media, pastels, graphics, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. The New Milford Commission on the Arts is the sponsor for every HAL event in the railroad station.

For further information call 860-355-0349. The railroad station is at 11 Railroad Street.
