NHS Drama Club Ready To Take The Stage

An experienced cast and crew are in the final weeks of rehearsal for the Newtown High School production of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, to be performed April 6–8 in the high school auditorium.

The lighthearted 1960s musical comedy tells the story of J. Pierpont Finch, an ambitious young window washer who rises through the ranks of World Wide Wicket Company with advice from a book titled How To Succeed In Business. Along the way Finch meets with an entertaining blend of romance, office politics, setbacks, and successes, captured in songs such as “The Company Way,” “Been A Long Day,” and “I Believe in You.”

Cast members appeared at last Saturday’s Newtown Youth Services dinner dance to showcase three musical numbers from the production.

Performances are scheduled for Thursday, April 6, at 7 pm; Friday, April 7, at 7:30 pm; and Saturday, April 8, at 2 and 7:30 pm. Tickets prices range from $8 to $15 on Thursday, and $10 to $17 on Friday and Saturday.

For tickets call 426-7983.
