Occupation: I am a real estate agent at Century 21 Homeservices on Church Hill Road.
Family: My husband, Steve, and I have been married 19 years. We have a daughter, Erin, who will be 17 years old soon. She is a junior at Newtown High School. Matt, our son, is 13 and in the eighth grade at Newtown Middle School.
Pets: We have a Bouvier de Flandres, which is a Franco-Belgian herding dog, named Barkley. He is 8 ½ years old and weighs 135 pounds. Supposedly, Bouviers were heroes in the war, but Barkley just lies around. He thinks he is a lap dog. And we have Abby, our calico cat, who is 10 years old.
How long have you lived in Newtown? We have lived here since June of 1995. We moved in on Fatherâs Day and I remember it was so hot!
What do you do in your free time? I like to read and I love to travel and be with friends. I also enjoy going out to dinner. The Inn at Newtown is our special occasion restaurant.
What is the most recent book you have read? I read three this month. I do a lot of reading in the winter. My Sisterâs Keeper is one that I read. I love Jodi Picoleâs books. Sheâs my favorite author. I also read The Birth of Venus and I just finished Light on Snow.
Do you have a favorite travel destination? Europe, if we want adventure. The Caribbean if we want to just chill out. We might go to France this summer. That would be awesome.
What is the best thing about Newtown? The people. We have made good friends here. It is such a good sense of community. Itâs been a great place to raise the kids.
Who do you most admire? I would have to say my mom. She was a single, working, teenage mom, yet she made it. She was an event-planning marketer and she just sold her business. She is really something.
What is your personal philosophy? Enjoy every day. Each day really is a gift and we tend to forget that. Enjoy the time we have here.
Where would you like to be in 20 years? On a beach! Steve and I love the Carolinas and Georgia. Hopefully, Iâll be retired and enjoying my grandchildren.
