*Clear Channel has announced two more upcoming shows for the state.
Tickets will be on sale Friday afternoon for TESLA, who will be at the Oakdale in Wallingford on Wednesday, May 7. All seats are $30.

Then on Saturday one of the biggest concert events of every season at the Meadows will be going on sale. DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, with special guests N.E.R.D., will be in Hartford on Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17.
Tickets are $40 for the lawn area and only $57.50 for reserved seating.
Distribution of wristbands for this show at the Oakdale box office (because The Meadows is not yet open for the season) will be Saturday around 8:30 am, with line placement selections taking place around 9:30 and tickets going on sale promptly at 10.
Tickets.com outlets will also be handing out wristbands for this event beginning at 9 Saturday morning.
Remember that wristbands, regardless of where you go to buy your tickets, only guarantee a place in line; they cannot guarantee ticket purchases.
*Tickets for an interesting combination â STING and ANNIE LENNOX â stopping at Mohegan Sun Arena on Monday, July 5, go on sale Saturday, March 27. Donât make plans to run to Uncasville on Saturday for these tickets, however; there wonât be any box office sales for the first day of availability.
Tickets will be available through tickets.com outlets only â go online to tickets.com, call 800-477-6849 or visit Strawberries Music stores (but not the Southbury store, which doesnât sell tickets for big shows). Prices are a hefty $97 and $162 for this show.
*LIZ McNICHOL AND FRIENDS, which includes Newtown musician MORGANEVE SWAIN on fiddle, will be participating in a the Milford Fine Arts Coffeehouse on March 26 and then performing at Colinâs Pub in Fairfield the following night.

*SOL DOG has finally announced a number of new shows including a return this weekend to 100 Church Hill in Sandy Hook and participation in next monthâs Beltaine Festival & Camping Event.
Rev, Ron, Mark, Curt and assorted friends will be in Sandy Hook on Saturday, March 27. Their next show will be Friday, April 16, at Café 127 in Shelton, and then at the end of the month itâs the aforementioned 6th Annual Beltaine festival.
The three-day event will take be Friday through Sunday, April 30 to May 2, rain or shine, at Schreiberâs Farm in Oxford. Presented by Pagan Community Church, the weekend will offer more than 30 presenters, teachers and speakers, Maypole dancing, childrenâs events, and other miscellaneous. *Based on the demand for tickets so far, the folks at Mohegan Sun Arena have opened up additional seating for GODSMACKâs show in Uncasville on April 15. Additional tickets were released on March 25 and all are priced at $34.50, available though Mohegan Sunâs in-house box office, online through tickets.com, over the phone from 800-477-6849, or in person from any tickets.com outlet.
*Two new shows the folks at The Webster Theatre are excited about were announced last week. Charter Wu-Tang Clan member and Grammy-winning solo artist METHOD MAN will headline on Saturday, April 10. Q has the opening slot. All tickets are $20 and the show is open to ages 18 and up.
Also on sale already are tickets for ORGY, on May 15, which is an all-ages show. Tickets are $15 and available through any tickets.com outlet.
BREAKING BENJAMIN will now be headlining at the club on April 18, replacing the previously scheduled BRETT MICHAELS show. The Websterâs website says the show has been postponed but isnât offering a new date yet. Call the theater if you want specifics; 860-525-5553.
*Thereâs been a change in ticket prices for the MARY J. BLIGE concert, but I donât know when they went into effect. Tickets for the April 28 show at the Oakdale went on sale last weekend but instead of the originally-announced $28.75, $38,75 and $48.75 choices, patrons are being told their choices are $49.75 and $65.75.
The press received an email about the price changes this week on Monday. Sorry for the confusion.
Also changed is the date for the BLINK 182 show, which was announced last week for May 26 at The Meadows. That show has been shifted over to Saturday, June 5. Sorry about that confusion, too, but at least these changes are due to confusion at the top â both of these changes came in this week from Clear Channel, not me.
Until next week Iâll be seeing you⦠on the road.
Questions and comments should be sent to Shannon Hicks c/o The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT 06470, or shannon@thebee.com, or call the office at 426-3141.
Shows listed at club locations are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
