Appraisal Day A Success
Appraisal Day A Success
To the Editor:
I would like to thank the appraisers and the patrons who participated in the Newtown Historical Societyâs fourth annual Antiques Appraisal Day held Sunday afternoon at the Meeting House. It was a great day of learning, fun and fundraising.
Special thanks to Tucker Frey, Wayne Mattox, Don Broderick and Steve Stieglitz, our capable, professional panel of appraisers who performed almost 200 appraisals in three hours. They once again proved themselves to be knowledgeable beyond expectation.
I would also like to thank Sherry Paisley and the Heritage Preservation Trust for allowing us to use the Meeting House as our setting again this year. Their generosity and assistance contributed greatly to our overall success.
Lastly, I would like to thank Joe Grasso for the loan of the amplification equipment which allowed us to provide entertainment and an education for those who came and listened. This new dimension to our event was well-received and appreciated by all.
Sincerely,
Elin F. Hayes
