Spring Break At Websterâs
WEST HARTFORD â Looking for fun activities for your children during the upcoming spring vacation?
During that week the Noah Webster House will be sponsoring âSpring Break at Websterâs,â two sessions of crafts, games, and other activities for children. One session, on Tuesday, April 17, from 1 to 3 pm, is geared toward children ages 8 to 12; the second session, on Thursday, April 19, from 10 am to noon, will feature activities for children ages 5 to 7.
Tuesdayâs session will feature several different craft activities, including stenciling picture frames, creating pinch pots, and weaving on cardboard looms. Children who attend the Thursday session will play colonial games in the historic house and participate in such activities as making sachets, stenciling, and creating mini-books.
Each two-hour program costs $10 per child for non-members and $8 per child for members. The fee includes all supplies and admission to the house. Accompanying adults are free. An adult must accompany groups of more than three children.
Each session is limited to 20 children. Advance registration is encouraged, although walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a place, or for more information about the program, please contact Suzi Dorko, Director of Education, at 860-521-5362, extension 13.
