Audrey M. Coughlin, 74, of Kimberly Place, Danbury, wife of the late James R. Coughlin, Sr, died at Danbury Hospital on March 26.
She was the mother of James R. Coughlin, Jr, of Newtown.
Born June 19, 1926, in Asbury Park, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Francis and Kathryn (Rafferty) Lee. Mrs Coughlin worked for numerous years in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn and Ethan Allen Inn.
Mrs Coughlin had resided in Asbury Park, N.J., until moving to Danbury in 1964. She was very active in senior activities in the Danbury area and was a member of St Peter Church.
She is survived by three other sons, Daniel F. Coughlin of Bethel, David M. Coughlin of Los Angeles, Calif., and Christopher J. Coughlin of Danbury; two daughters, Virginia C. Kiraly of Glastonbury and Audrey K. Coughlin of Danbury; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Church Friday, March 30, at 10 am. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery.
Calling hours were scheduled at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Thursday, March 29, from 4 to 8 pm.
