NYS Offers Two PASSAGES Programs
NYS Offers Two PASSAGES Programs
Back by popular demand is âBehind the Scenes at a Local Animal Clinic.â Once again Dr Neal Warner of the Newtown Animal Clinic has offered his services to show middle school students what working in a veterinary clinic is all about.
Among some of the highlights of the clinic tour will be viewing x-rays, making a diagnosis, and examining a canine patient.
This program is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, from 4 to 5:30 pm.
âA New Way to Watch TVâ is new to PASSAGES this year. Greg Van Antwerp, public access supervisor for Charter Communications, offers students a new perspective on TV viewing.
Participants will tour the local TV studio, have the opportunity for some hands-on equipment operation, see themselves on TV, and learn how to view TV differently.
The program date is Wednesday, April 25, from 4 to 5:30 pm.
PASSAGES is open to all students in Newtown in grades 6, 7, and 8. Both programs are free and limited to 10 students. Registration is required. Please call NYS at 270-4335.
