C. Harold Schwartz of Palm Beach, Fla., beloved husband and father and highly respected Connecticut attorney, passed away at his home on February 2, 2022, at the age of 93. Born in Daytona Beach, Fla., he was formerly a resident of Newtown, Conn., and actively practiced law for 36 years at the firm of Goldstein & Peck in Bridgeport and Westport, Conn. He was president at his retirement. Harold was graduated from Stetson University and NYU Law School.

He leaves his loving wife of 67 years, Irene A. Schwartz (nee Steindl); his son, Daniel Schwartz, of Lincoln, Mass.; his daughter, Amy Pieri, of Albany, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Dr Christina Iacobo (Schwartz); and granddaughters, Joanna Catherine Schwartz, Allison Irene Schwartz, and Renee Kathryn Pieri. He also leaves his brother Arnold M. Schwartz, of Phoenix, Ariz. and several nieces and nephews.

Harold was predeceased by his brother Marvin Schwartz, formerly of Boynton Beach, Fla., and his parents, Max and Eva Schwartz, of Bridgeport, Conn. and Florida.

Harold Schwartz was an accomplished attorney and post-retirement mediator, arbitrator, pro-bono para-judicial officer, and was known as a “lawyer’s lawyer,” respected for his intellect, imagination, impeccable work ethic, integrity, kindness, and his appreciation of artistic qualities in others. He was also known for his quick-witted sense of humor, his love of golf, ballroom dancing with Irene, and his devotion to his family. Harold will be remembered as the most wonderful husband and father whom his family was so blessed to have known and loved. He is sorely missed.

Interment will be in Newtown.
